Edge Global Congress
November 6, 2019
As data is generated at ever more exponential rates, and globally moves us towards the age of Yottabyte, so compute processing power disperses across enterprise, and cloud resources...
For this edition, Datacloud spoke to Arild Løvik, CEO, Nordavind DC Sites
Datacloud: What do you see for the future of the industry?
I think the combination of IoT, Big data, Real Time and Everywhere will make linear forecasts fail. The 4th Industrial revolution will give possibilities and effects that challenge our cognitive limitations.
Datacloud: What is the biggest opportunity in the industry today?
Internet of everything, everywhere.
Datacloud: What's one of your goals for the next year and how do you expect to achieve it?
One of my goals is to make investors realize that Norway, and especially the Inland of Norway, is the Nordics best place for investments in hyper scale and cluster data centers.
I think the combination of cooperation and competition at the national level is a winning receipt. Here in Monaco, several Norwegian competitors share stand 35-36.
Datacloud: What do you think matters most in the development of the industry and its effect on business and society?
Regarding its effects on society, I think it is crucial that it is inclusive, and gives equal opportunities for all. Marginalization is dangerous.
Nordavind will be at the Datacloud Europe 2017 congress in Monaco June 6-8th. Meet them there
