Edge Global Congress
November 6, 2019
As data is generated at ever more exponential rates, and globally moves us towards the age of Yottabyte, so compute processing power disperses across enterprise, and cloud resources...
For this edition, Datacloud spoke to Olivier Labbe, Chief Executive Officer at CAP DC.
Datacloud: What do you see for the future of the industry?
Cloud will keep on growing, the new trend highlighting a growth that will underlie a Data Centers continuum (from mega to regional to pico)
Datacloud: What is the biggest opportunity in the industry today?
Emerging countries will request local Data Center infrastructures to benefit from privacy and low latency. The biggest opportunity is the South, first of all Africa.
Datacloud: What's one of your goals for the next year and how do you expect to achieve it?
Cap Ingelec will carry on strong revenue growth, taking advantage of customers demand evolution from simple engineering scope to turnkey mode as a single contractor. In addition, our recent international expansion in South Europe and Africa, through the Cap DC brand, will also allow us to tackle new markets.
Datacloud: What do you think matters most in the development of the industry and its effect on business and society?
With an increasingly widespread cloud, innovation no longer suffers from any barrier. Huge infrastructure can be quickly made available to the smallest start-up, which can develop a global presence in a matter of weeks.
