Edge Global Congress
November 6, 2019
As data is generated at ever more exponential rates, and globally moves us towards the age of Yottabyte, so compute processing power disperses across enterprise, and cloud resources...
For this edition, Datacloud spoke to Tomas Sokolnicki Investment Advisor ICT/Head of Data Centers by Sweden
Datacloud: What do you see for the future of the industry?
Explosion of data, everyone moving to the cloud and many organisations realizing that operating datacenters is hardly core business leads to the conclusion that the datacentre industry needs to grow and offer what users are expecting – low cost, sustainable footprint, differentiated offerings and safety.
Datacloud: What is the biggest opportunity in the industry today?
Migration to the cloud or outsourcing to datacenter providers allows organisations to focus on core business and deliver better products and services. At the same time, the industry needs to prove that we care about the environment and are able to create more sustainable operational models.
Datacloud: What's one of your goals for the next year and how do you expect to achieve it?
Our objective is to help more datacenter players discover opportunities in Sweden, and jointly with us explore the commitment we have to offer the business case and sustainable footprint people are looking for.
Datacloud: What do you think matters most in the development of the industry and its effect on business and society?
Definitely moving the industry towards being more sustainable and energy efficient, taking more responsibility for the environment.
Business Sweden will be at the Datacloud Europe 2017 congress in Monaco June 6-8th. Meet them there
